I currently live in Reno, NV retired and receive Social Security. New employment opportunities has caused rents to go beyond my means so I must relocate. The rent I'm paying for a studio apartment would get a large house in SE Kansas and it is to be raised $100 more when my lease expires 12/31/18. I am exploring my options and SE Kansas is one area I'm considering. My questions involve Social Security. Does anyone know if my benefits would be decreased if I move to Kansas? (I know they would increase if I moved to California) Also, Nevada Medicaid pays my Medicare premium and picks up the balance after Medicare. Will Kansas Medicaid do this? I took early retirement and my reduced benefit is $964/month. Any information would be greatly appreciated. My family is from NE Oklahoma my great grandparents are buried in Bartlesville. So I am somewhat aware of the area, humidity, etc. Please email any info you may have.
